Beschrijving

Romanesco is een zeer opvallende koolsoort, die nauw verwant is aan broccoli en bloemkool en wordt soms ook wel torentjesbloemkool genoemd Naast fraai is deze groente erg smakelijk en heel gezond.

Het is eigenlijk best een oude groente, die al sinds zeker de zestiende eeuw wordt gekweekt in Italië.

Van april tot begin juli kan romanesco gezaaid worden. De beste zaaitijd is echter van eind mei tot eind juni. De planttijd ligt in mei tot en met juli. De plantafstand bedraagt 75 x 50 cm. Er kan geoogst worden vanaf juli tot in november.

Een zadenzakje bevat ruim 15 zaden.
