Beschrijving

Boslathyrus is een vaste klimplant die behoort bij de vlinderbloemenfamilie. In Nederland is de plant zeldzaam, maar vind je hem nog wel in Zuid-Limburg.

De plant wordt 1 tot 2 m hoog en heeft houtige gevleugelde stengels. De houtige uitlopers kunnen wel 15 m lang worden.

Boslasthyrus bloeit van juni tot augustus.

De bloemen worden door insecten zoals hommels en bijen bestoven.
