Vaste plant met karmijnrode bloemen

Deze vaste plant van de anjerfamilie komt oorspronkelijk uit Miiden- en Zuidoost Europa, vooral op berghellingen en is nu vrij zeldzaam in Nederland.

Karthuizer monniken gebruikten deze plant medicinaal.

De plant wordt 30 tot 45 cm hoog en bloeit van juni tot augustus met karmijnrode bloemen.

Zaai tussen juni en augustus op een zonnige plek in zandige grond.

In een zadenzakje zitten 30 zaden.
