Beschrijving

Deze vaste plant ook wel zurkel genoemd behoort tot de duizendknoopfamilie en komt vnl. voor in de gematigde streken van Noord- en Midden Europa en Azië.

De plant wordt 10 tot 60 cm hoog en bloeit in juli en augustus.

De plant groeit op zonnige plekken op een natte ondergrond. Veelal in het getijde gebied van de grote rivieren en in moerassen.

Zaai tussen april en juli

Het jonge blad is eetbaar.

In een zadenzakje zitten ruim 30 zaden.
